Well, probably not. But, we both share similar problems. They have North Korea, which is guaranteed to do something awful at just about any time; we have Israel. I would generally say we have the better part of the deal on the nutcase continuum. But, they both have a knack of seeming to get tired of the world paying attention to anything else other than them, and then doing something horrible to get the attention they feel they deserve. North Korea torpedoes a goddamn South Korean warshipship and the Chinese express concern at what is an act of war; concern that the North Koreans might be misunderstood. Israel attacks a convoy in what is either an act of war against Turkey -- a NATO country we're bound to by treaty -- or piracy. We express concern. In both cases, North Korean and Israel, China and we have blocked the UN from condemning the action.
Frankly, this is the moment to say, Fuck y'all to both sets of nutcases, and walk off into the night arm in arm with our Chinese buddies, talking about the beginnings of our beautiful relationship and whistling the Marseillaise...
My absolute favorite anthem. Except maybe We Are The Champions. The French are such pussies.
Come, children of the Fatherland
The day of glory has arrived!
Against us, Tyranny's
Bloody banner is raised, (repeat)
Do you hear in the countryside
Those ferocious soldiers roaring?
They come up to your arms
To slit the throats of your sons and wives!
To arms, citizens,
Form your battalions,
Let's march, let's march!
May an impure blood
Water our furrows!
