World as we know it ends. President continues pep talks...Obviously drug damaged from youth or else missed everything since 1980...
Or maybe not. Maybe food riots are up next...followed by tax cuts for the rich, the invasion of Chad and the shooting of Aids patients.
President Obama responded to the figures by declaring that “this country has never responded
to a crisis by sitting on the sidelines and hoping for the best” and
asserting that government has a huge role to play in bringing out the
best in the American people.
Where exactly was he living from 2000 to 2007 when he started campaigning for President? A cone of silence in Springfield...actually, I track it back to the Reagan years. Probably the best comparison is that unemployment under Obama is now what it was in 1982. It's still the result of Bush's watch of course; it takes five miles to turn an aircraft carrier around, and the economy is definitely a behemoth sized boat. So, maybe things will get better sooner than they did under Reagan. Maybe unemployment will be at 2001-2 levels by the time that Obama was in office as long as Reagan was at that number. Or maybe not. Maybe food riots are up next...followed by tax cuts for the rich, the invasion of Chad and the shooting of Aids patients.
