Comandante Agi

The Tudor conquest of Ireland was merely practice for the English conquest of New England 100 years later. Land confiscation, plantations, wars against "savages"'s all so similiar. Now we are fighting "evildoers". Funny how things never change.

Right. The uptick in the troubles began in 1968 with the Irish Civil Rights movement. Now that the IRA and Paisley have reached an understanding, perhaps peace and understanding and shared culture can develop. Sadly, the 30 plus years of sectarian conflict has probably hurt the growth of shared culture.
