We are everywhere and we are nowhere.
We live in your houses and travel on your streets.
We work in your offices and factories. We go to your schools. We consume what we want for the hell of it.
The time has come. We've sharpened our apoplectical swords. A world historical force is emerging. Defeatism will be the dawn of a new hopeless era.
Say we're wrong or call us names but it really doesn't change the situation.
See, I create my own reality--and this reality belongs to my ultimate depth-defying defeat.
I hereby shed my surname and officially relinquish the title of propagandist. I am just a boy named Agi.
~ El Comandante
Count me in there, El Commandante! Um, but just to make sure, we don't actually have to DO anything do we? I mean, if we DO anything, wouldn't that be defeating the whole purpose of defeatism? And hey, what color Little Book do we have? And who's writing the 'Sayings'?

Well, Neil, none of that has yet been established. This is the only book I can think of that comes close to what we--scratch that--I (I'm not going to speak for the rest of us) am striving for. I've read that thing on and off for the past eight years and I only get about 2% of it.

Sure, that works for me. I've got it bookmarked so I can study it and try to become not just a defeatist, but a magnificent defeatist! Hmmm. That makes me think of another question: are there levels of defeatism? Do we get colored belts?

only when one gives up the hope of being a defeatist does one truly become a defeatist.

passivity; things come to you naturally when you are ready for them, not when you desire them
