A free pass for Sarah Palin...or, maybe not?

Probably not. But, it is an interesting conundrum...how do people respond in good faith to nonsense like Obama's connection to the Weathermen -- that was the real beginning of the Feminazi movement, when Comrade Thiseete and Thatette demanded that they change their name from the authentic "Don't need a weatherman to tell which way the wind blows!" silliness to the radically stupid weather underground because Weathermen was sexist -- at age 8? I'm actually amazed that no one has asked her about the AIM party. I'm curious about her attitude and response to the Oklahoma City bombing. It would be worth it to have someone do a poll after the nutbags leave one of her rallies to see what they think? Does a state have the right to secede from the union? Did Tim McVey do it or was he set up by the Black Helicopters? Is up the new down?

I've known some folks who were connected to the Patriot movement, who recoiled in absolute horror and ran screaming back to the fold of the Republican party as soon as it was clear that Saddam Hussein and the New World Order had nothing to do with the worst case of domestic terrorism prior to 911. Since al Queida isn't a domestic organization, and none of the bombers were citizens or even green card holders, I'd argue the domestic terrorism part on 911. Frankly, that was an act of war by an unrecognized statedom, a Sheikdom run by a seven foot tail Yemeni in Afghanistan. I think Tim McVey still has the record...however, do semantics matter? Yeah, they do. McVey killed far more children than the various 60s militants killed people. If Palin belongs to an organization with ties to McVie, however loose, the nation needs to know about it.

There is a lot of potential for fun here. Despite their misuse by this administration, the security agencies are pretty strict about not giving members of the lunatic fringes security clearances. If it looks to them like Sarah P and the First Dude have links to fringe movements, they might not grant security clearances. Now, Batshit McCrazy can do whatever he wants to as President, but if he found out he had selected someone who couldn't get a clearance to be his backup, we'd have a quick twofer...he'd die of humiliation and shock; the info would be leaked and she'd have to resign or be impeached; and, Nancy Pelosi would be the next President. Of course, Sarah might try to gut it out and say that the refusal to grant her a clearance wasn't a problem because, gosh, she's just going to be all mavericky about things. Nancy Pelosi would still be president, it would just take longer.

Anyway, if it can be proven that she was a member of an organization that advocated secession, I wonder if she even can serve if elected? Seem to recall that there are federal laws on the books that are still there from the reconstruction. As I recall, John Singleton Mosby initially had to have a waiver because he refused to abjure his oath to the Confederacy in order to practice law...not that I'd equate Sarah Palin to the Gray Ghost. She's far more insidious...
